Recommended Wheel and Tyre Care Instructions

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial to maintaining your warranty and ensuring the longevity of your wheels and tyres:

  1. Regular Cleaning: Hand wash wheels regularly to remove contaminants such as road grime, salt, ice/snow melting chemicals, dirt, and brake dust, which can trap moisture and cause corrosion.
  2. Avoid Automatic Car Washes: The cleaning products and brushes used in automatic car washes can damage the wheel surface. Hand washing is recommended.
  3. Temperature Considerations: Never wash wheels or tyres when they are hot from driving. Cooling hot wheels or tyres with water can cause damage to the finish, discoloration, and warping of brake rotors/drums.
  4. Tyre Maintenance: Regularly inspect tyres for wear and proper inflation. Follow manufacturer guidelines for tyre rotation and balancing.
  5. Polishing and Waxing: At the time of purchase, polish the wheels with a quality automotive wax to aid future cleaning. Clean with warm soapy water weekly and re-wax monthly, focusing on areas where brake dust accumulates.
